Ahmad Saqfalhait was exposed to Japanese culture at an early age, spending his childhood in a multi-cultural community in Saudi Arabia.

His long-life appreciation for Japanese aesthetics, mainly those exemplified in the Japanese Art of Preparing Tea, has naturally led him to the discovery and practice of Chanoyu.

During his three year post-graduate design study in Tokyo, Ahmad attended classes by some of Japan’s greatest tea teachers. In February 2010, he was privileged to spend some time at the Urasenke’s Grand Tea Master’s School in Kyoto.
